The barn

The Eighteenth Century Barn was probably made from the timbers of ships following the Napoleonic Wars. It would have been a threshing Barn (Grain Storage). The barn fell into a very bad state and we restored it over the course of three years from 1980.

It now comprises two main areas, one of which is larger, laid out as a full size badminton court, and is ideal for conferences, school groups etc.
